Matt posts another strong finish at The Masters
17 April 2019

Last week, Matt added another strong result to his Masters resumé when he finished in a tie for 21st. After a poor opening round of 78, Matt followed it up with rounds of 67, 68 and 70 to finish on a total of five under par. It is his second best finish at Augusta National after finishing in a tie for seventh in 2016. The result kept Matt at 35 in the Official World Rankings and secured his full PGA Tour status for the 2019/2020 season.

Matt said:

“I’m pretty happy to finish at five under par after the start I had - I played really solid and putted awesome, the greens at Augusta really are the best we play on all year. The tournament is a pleasure to play and is one of my favourite tournaments of the year. Augusta is just a special place. I’m also pretty happy to get my PGA Tour status for 2020 which gives me loads of options in terms of playing opportunities.”

Matt tees it up in the PGA Tour’s RBC Heritage this week at Harbour Town Golf Links.

He tees off in RD1 at 11:50am local time with Sam Burns and Seamus Power.
