Matt fired a final round 69 to finish runner up at the Italian Open and miss out by a shot to Austrian, Bernd Wiesberger. Matt put together rounds of 67, 65, 68 and 69 to finish on 15 under par.
Dissapointed not to take the victory, Matt said: "I'm a bit gutted to be honest but it's a good week overall. My game is in great shape and is trending the right way - hopefully we can have a strong finish to the season!"
Matt moves up to a career high 26th in the Official World Rankings and 4th on the 2019 Race to Dubai.
