Matt capped off a superb 2022 season on the PGA Tour by finishing 14th on the Fedex Cup list. At the final event at East Lake, Matt started well with an opening round of 64 - he followed this up with rounds of 71, 67 and 70 to finish T15 for the week.
Matt said "It's been an awesome season for me in the US. I feel I should have finished higher up on the Fedex Cup list considering how well I've played this season, but that's how the Playfoffs go - you need to play well at the right time. Overall I'm really happy with the year, with winning the US Open at Brookline the obvious highlight. I'm looking forward to resting up and coming back for a bigger and better 2023."
