Matt put together his best finish at a World Golf Championship last week as he took fourth place at the WGC FedEx St Jude Invitational in Memphis, Tennessee.
With rounds of 67, 64, 69 and 69 Matt finished on eleven under par, finishing in a tie for fourth place. After a relatively poor final round Matt made a stunning eagle on the par 5 16th putting his second shot to around 3ft, to take him back up to eleven under par.
The result takes him to a career high of 27th in the Official World Golf Rankings and 9th in the 2019 Race to Dubai.
Matt said: "I'm pretty pleased with a T4 finish this week. I got a little bit sloppy over the weekend but I'll learn from Saturday and Sunday and hopefully it will stand me in good stead for the next time I'm up there in a big tournament. Three weeks off for me now - can't wait!"
Matt will be back in action at the Scandanavian Invitational on the European Tour which starts on August 22nd.
