The 146th Open Championship
17 July 2017

Matt looks ahead to one of the best events in the world this week, as he competes in the 146th Open Championship at Royal Birkdale. Coming off a missed cut at the Scottish Open, Matt is hopeful his game will come together at Birkdale. Having played the course many times as a junior, and seeing the course only a few weeks ago, Matt feels he is in a good place to compete:

"I played in the Junior Open many times at Royal Birkdale and had a good look at the course only a few weeks ago. I feel like im playing well but just havent scored great in the last few events. The missed cut in Scotland allowed me to get to Birkdale early and see the course again on Sunday. Hopefully it will all come together this week."
