Last week Matt finished the USPGA Championship held on the brutal Bethpage Black at seven over par - eventually finishing in a tie for 41st.
After an opening round of 75 Matt battled back well firing a second round 65 which included six birdies. Unfortunateley a poor moving day meant Matt slipped down the leaderboard before posting a one over 71 in the final round in tough conditions.
Matt said: "I'm happy with the week overall - I chucked away a few shots coming in on Sunday which was disapointing. I could have had a pretty decent finish if I would have kept it tight. A good week overall and we move onto Colonial next week which I'm looking forwad to - a new stop for me. Congratulations to Brooks on a great performance! Amazing golf in the Majors over the last two years!"
Matt tees off with Boo Weekley and Bill Haas at this weeks' Charles Schwab Challenge on the PGA Tour.
