Matt narrowly misses out on PGA Championship title
23 May 2022

Matt fell just short of his first win in the US and his first major Championship, as he finished in a tie for fifth at the 104th PGA Championship at Southern Hills.

On a battling final day, Matt couldn't quite produce his best stuff to take the title or reach the play-off, as he posted a three over par 73. It was Matt's best finish in a Major Champinship to date.

The performance takes Matt into the Top 15 in the Official World Golf Rankings for the first time, and moves him up 11 spots in the Fedex Cup to 25th.

Matt's next event will be the Memorial Tournament presented by Workday (2-5 June).
