Matt missed out on his first European Tour win of the season as he lost a play off to Italy's Andrea Pavan in the BMW International Open.
Pavan made birdie on the second extra playoff hole to take the title as both players finished on 15 under par after 72 holes.
Matt put together rounds of 73, 66, 65 and 69.
He said "I'm obviously gutted to miss out on the win but it was really the first round that killed me. Congrats to Andrea on the win and thanks to Marco and everyone at BMW for putting on a great event. My game is getting closer so I'm pretty hopeful for the next run of events."
