1 June 2018

A final round surge from saw Matt climb the leaderboard on the final day of the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth to claim a tie for eighth place. A birdie-eagle finish propelled him twenty places to eventually finish the tourament on ten under par.

Matt is happy with how played at Wentworth and is looking forward to a busy summer:

"I am delighted with how I finished at Wentworth and hopefully that form can carry on through the summer - peaking at either the US Open or Open would be nice! I've got a busy few months lined up with alot of the Rolex Series events and with the Ryder Cup looming it would be great to find some of my best form at this crucial part of the season. The most important thing is I'm enjoying my golf at the minute and long may it continue!"

Matt currently lies on five under after an opening 67 in Italy. He tees off at 13:30pm local time today.
