Matt capped off a great week in Los Angeles by finishing in a tie for fifth at The Genesis Invitational.
The result took him back up to 16th in the Official World Golf Rankings and up one spot in the Official European Ryder Cup Standings. Matt fired rounds of 66, 71, 69, 71 to finish on a total of seven under par.
Matt said: "Overall it was a really postitive week. Whenever you're up there it's disappointing not to come away with a win, but I'm pleased with my weeks work. Hopefully we can build on this and carry the momentum into the next few events in Florida."
Matt will compete at the WGC-Workday Championship in Sarasota FL next week.
