Matt put together his best finish on the PGA Tour this season at the Wells Fargo Championship in Washington DC as he tied for second, falling just two shots short of the eventual winner Max Homa. It is Matt's fifth Top 10 of the seaosn from just eight starts.
Matt fired rounds of 68, 68, 71 and 67 to finish on six under par. The performnace takes Matt up five places on the Official World Golf Rankings from 23rd to 18th, and takes him up around 20 places on the FedEx Cup list where he now sits at 33rd.
Matt said "It was a great week apart from the weather of course. I'm really happy with how I played. A win in the US is just around the corner and I believe it is a case of if and not when. Hopefully it can come very soon."
Matt's next event is the PGA Championship at Southern Hills (May 19-22).
